For the longest time, I am aware that Arthuz is allergic to anything that has mefenamic acid on it -- Ponstan, Alaxan.. name it, he can't and won't take it. So when the yaya texted me in the morning about Arthuz's swollen gums, the first thing on my mind was to text my dentist friend, tatan and ask him what meds Arthuz can take. Arthuz wanted to take antibiotics already because the pain was excruciating and the discomfort was unbearable. But since I know that one you can' t take any of those antibiotics if the area is still swollen, I told him to wait for me as I will drop by mercury drug after work to get him some pain reliever instead.

I remember clarifying with the pharmacist that Flanax does not contain any of those mefenamic acid. I bought three (3) tablets and went home. After feeding him gotoking's special goto for his breakfast slash lunch slash merienda, I asked him to drink a tablet. Alas! after a couple of hours, he went down with his two eyes swollen and red, his cheeks and ears red and nose almost popping like an italian tomato. He is allergic to Flanax!!!

So my initial plans of staying up late tonight to visit all the sites of cyberfriendships will be put on hold now as I need to take care of him. Good thing Lizzie is there to help me out.

Mental note to myself: Ponstan, Alaxan, Flanax... anything pain reliever is an X for Arthuz.
