You are right, Abie. Today is Ash Wednesday but I never realized it until midday when I saw a bunch of guys with crosses on their foreheads. I have to hurry home to be able to catch the 5pm mass in our village.
Today marks the beginning of the Lenten Season. This is the time that we prepare for Easter by observing a period of fasting, repentance, moderation and spiritual discipline.
May God's love lead us to do what is good and what is right, not just this Lenten Season but always.
