how cold is cold?

As mentioned here, we (i.e. my in laws, Arthuz, Lizzie and the yaya, and the Tays) went to Tagaytay because of 3 things: first, to hear Mass at the Pink Sisters (it was our second mass because we were sponsors in our village church in the morning mass). Second, to unwind after a looong week of work, work and work. And lastly, to EAT! That's a staple in the Dela Rosa family :). We like going there - aside from being accessible (it's an hour drive from our house in Cainta on a Sunday afternoon), the food is good and the weather is friendly. It was freezing cold yesterday though!

Our first stop was at the Pink Sisters Convent. The mass was solemn, the voices of the pink sisters were angelic we didn't mind the lengthy homily. We werent able to fill up the pieces of paper with our prayer requests as it rained after the mass. We usually do that here in St. Claire on our birthdays, and it works for us!

We wanted to stroll around but the rains stopped us so we headed to RSM for an early dinner instead. The fare consisted of the usual crispy pata, ensaladang talong, ensaladang mangga, inihaw na pusit, pancit and their ever-famous bulalo. The food was good (better than Leslies in fact!) and surprisingly, the prices were affordable. For a food-loving family like ours, this resto was added in our must come back for good food list. Again, it was freezing cold in RSM that I was literally shaking while eating! Ang jologs ko talaga. I wonder kung pano ako mabubuhay should we decide to migrate to Canada or the US? LOL!

Because of the rain and the freezing cold, we crossed out our plan of having coffee at a Starbucks nearby and decided to just make a stop at the first gas station along the expressway for coffee. I had my signature drink of course plus a slice of blueberry cheesecake and an oreo cheesecake for Arthuz. Heynakow! Forget about the calories first.

At half past 10, it was time to go home. Lizzie dozed off to sleep when we reached C5, arrived at my in laws' place at 11, got our car and reached our home at half past 11. It was a long, relaxing and cooold sunday.

Till next week!
