marriage fitness

A very good friend of mine is currently experiencing some humps and bumps in her marriage. She has been married for a few years now and lately, she feels that the marriage has reached a plateau. I wanted to help her but as a friend, I can only do so much. It's a good thing (and a blessing in disguise, actually) that she was able to find a Marriage Family Counselor who would help her with her needs. And since they are offering an alternative way of marriage counselling, she was able to convince her husband to undergo Marriage Retreat with her. No sweat for the couple as it's going to be held in the comforts and privacy of their home. And the exciting part here is they won't let you dig in the past and dwell about past hurts and wallow in pain as it is not your traditional marriage counselling. It will be sort of a fitness program - a marriage fitness program, and the Marriage Family Counselling will be designed according to whatever it is that you are suffering in your relationship. So if you have issues you want to resolve in your marriage, try this alternative way of marriage counselling. This might be the key to a long-lasting, peaceful and revived togetherness. As they would often say: Marriage is a work in progress. So once-in-a-lifetime opportunites like this are worth trying as more often than not, it can help a marriage survive.
