gearing up for fashion school

We have always been fascinated about fashion in my family. My cousin who is a nurse based in new york has expressed her desire to take up fashion school next year. She has been checking out good fashion schools and arranging her schedule since late last year. If my plans (fingers crossed!) of visiting my parents in the US next year pushes through, I might take a side trip to my cousin’s place and check out some fashion school in new york. It is common knowledge that if you want to get the best education in fashion, you go to New York as it is there where most of the fashion trends originate. New york fashion schools are said to be trailblazers in fashion and they are known to set the trend to anything about fashion. The thought of learning how to design, draft, sew and drape thrills me so much I can’t wait to be there. I am not dreaming of being the next Donna Karan or Coco Chanel or Vivien Westwood but it wouldn’t really hurt if after signing up and enrolling, I end up being one of them. The excitement of going to New York is killing me. I just can’t wait to see all the fashion schools new york has to offer.
