a cherished friendship

Bumped into one of my closest guy friends (he is actually my husband's best buddy/blood brother but we got closer when we moved to the same company a couple of years ago) while having breakfast at Something Fishy with my in laws today. I was so excited to see him that I literally jumped out of where I was sitting to hug him. It has been months (probably more than a year) already since we last talked and though we would bump into each other at work, there was never a chance for us to sit and have those chit chats we used to do before. He was my coffee buddy for almost a year. He was my protector at work, my big brother as I call him. We were just so close.

We kinda drifted apart when he stepped up the ladder and eventually became the site director. Occasional exchange of text messages and emails but the coffee breaks were gone. I started missing him. So, imagine the thrill when I saw him today? It was like seeing your best friend you haven't seen in years. The feeling was so great! After the meeting, he sent me a text message saying: "Hey sistah! I've missed you. You have no idea. So much stuff has happened that I wish I could just talk to you. Let's catch up soon. Ü"

I'd love to have coffee with him and hubby soon. I've got to organize it now or else I might forget again.

Hay! Friendships like the one I have with ep will always be cherished. He is and will always be my husband's best buddy, my brothah, Lizzie's ninong (who never fails to spoil her with gifts!), my closest guy friend... my favorite friend.
