the habananas :)

I passed by the mall last Friday to get Lizzie her flip flops for our summer outing yesterday. I grew tired seeing her on crocs all the time so I asked her yaya if she can manage to wear flip flops already (without the strings). The yaya assured me that the little girl can manage so I got her a nice pair and check out our exchange of words when I handed over the "little something" to her over dinner that same day.

Me: I have something for you! (in my perkiest tone ever)
Lizzie: What? (getting giddy and all)
Me: O close your eyes first
Lizzie: closes eyes and smiles
I immediately held the bag at her eye level.
Lizzie (opens her eyes sooo wide and exclaiming---): Oh mama! Thank you thank you very very much!

Hay, if only all people are as appreciative and innocent as the little children.
